Superman #3 (1987)

In this issue, Superman is inadvertently transported to Apokolips by twin laser beams intended for him. There, Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips, expresses disappointment upon discovering that the beams have brought a "normal" human instead of Superman. Despite this, Darkseid decides to deal with Clark Kent, leading to a confrontation where Clark is blasted out of a window, seemingly to his doom. However, the Phantom Stranger observes the events, knowing that Clark's fall will not harm him.
