Green Lantern #9 (1991)

The Guardians of the Universe reorganize Earth's Green Lanterns, assigning Hal Jordan to rebuild the Corps, John Stewart to the Mosaic World, and declaring Guy Gardner as the sole Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Eager to assert his new title, Guy takes a chaotic tour across Earth, causing more damage than heroism in true Guy Gardner fashion. His plans take an unexpected turn when the bumbling but persistent G’nort claims he’s also been assigned to Sector 2814. Annoyed and skeptical, Guy contacts the Guardians, only to be ordered to tolerate G’nort’s presence while they investigate who truly gave him his ring. Unwilling to be saddled with G’nort, Guy embarks on a wild off-world mission to uncover the truth behind his unwelcome “partner.”
